FaZe finally got themselves on the board against SINNERS, and that series may have been exactly what this lineup needed. After two disappointing losses, the individuals finally started looking like themselves again, with frozen, JBOEN, and Twistzz all stepping up across the series.
3DMAX are alternating between impressive wins and disappointing defeats throughout the tournament. They’ve shown they can punish mistakes, but consistency has been the biggest issue, especially against teams with stronger individual quality.
This is also one of those spots where the best-of-three format works in FaZe’s favor. Even if 3DMAX manage to steal a map, it’s difficult to imagine FaZe getting outclassed over an entire series if their stars perform anywhere near the level they showed against SINNERS.
FaZe have already burned through every second chance available. If they want to make a late run in Guangzhou, this is the kind of series they simply have to win, and I think they do.
