FaZe deserves some credit for their recover after their ugly 0-2 start, but their playoff run becomes significantly harder here. BetBoom have been one of the standout teams in Guangzhou, dropping just a single map throughout the Swiss stage while continuing the form that recently pushed them into the top eight of the VRS rankings.

The biggest difference between these teams has been consistency. FaZe have relied on frozen, Twistzz, and especially the new guy – JBOEN – to carry much of the workload, whereas BetBoom have looked dangerous no matter who’s topping the scoreboard. That kind of balance becomes even more valuable in a best-of-three, where adapting from map to map often decides the series.

FaZe absolutely have the individual talent to make things competitive, but BetBoom have simply looked like the more complete team from start to finish. They come into the playoffs as deserved favorites, and I’d expect them to justify that status with a clean sweep.
