FaZe couldn’t have imagined a worse start to the tournament. Losses to TYLOO and MIBR have left them one series away from elimination, and the pressure is now fully on this rebuilt roster.
The positive is that the switch to a best-of-three gives them a much better chance to recover. Despite the disappointing results, the individual quality is still there, and JBOEN has quietly been one of the few bright spots through the opening rounds. If Twistzz and frozen finally find their form, FaZe should look much closer to the team people expected before the tournament began.
SINNERS haven’t offered much to suggest they can punish FaZe here. Heavy defeats against BetBoom and 9z exposed the gap between them and the stronger teams in attendance, and it’s difficult to see them suddenly popping off in an elimination series.
FaZe have already used up their room for error. If they’re going to save this tournament, this feels like the series where they finally get going. And I believe they will.
