Nobody expected HEROIC to be playing for survival after only two rounds. Back-to-back losses to Sharks and Lynn Vision have put them in a difficult position, especially considering the expectations placed on this roster before the Major began. Yet despite those disappointing results, this remains one of the most favorable matchups they could have received.

Gaimin Gladiators have struggled badly throughout the event. Losses against BetBoom and BIG were not particularly surprising, but the manner of those defeats offered little encouragement. They have yet to show the level required to challenge the stronger teams in Stage 1, and now face an opponent desperate to rescue its tournament. HEROIC’s recent form has been far from convincing, but there is still a significant gap in experience, structure, and individual quality between these lineups. Unless HEROIC completely collapse under the pressure, they should easily sweep GG and keep their Cologne run alive.
