Lynn Vision’s Round 1 defeat against M80 was hardly a surprise, but HEROIC finding themselves in the 0-1 bracket certainly was. The European side fell 13-10 to Sharks in one of the biggest upsets of the opening round, while Lynn Vision struggled to keep pace with M80 and eventually fell 13-8. Both teams now face an important Round 2 match, with another defeat leaving them just one loss away from elimination.

Even after the defeat, HEROIC remain the better team on paper. Their recent form has been disappointing, but the roster still possesses significantly more experience at this level than Lynn Vision. The Chinese side often rely heavily on favorable vetoes and momentum, whereas HEROIC should have more flexibility regardless of where the map lands. Expect a much cleaner performance than the one we saw against Sharks. HEROIC may not be playing their best Counter-Strike right now, but this looks like an ideal opportunity to get their Major campaign back on track.
