The FISSURE Playground 2 Swiss phase is done and dusted. No more lifelines, no more second chances. Eight teams made it through some barely clinging on, others cruising without breaking a sweat. Now it’s playoffs time, and every map can decide who sticks around and who goes home packing.
MongolZ vs G2

The MongolZ are never dull. Their 3-1 run included bouncing FaZe in Round 4, and they did it their way – fast, aggressive, and always looking for the next fight. bLitz keeps the pace high, Techno4K and Senzu bring the firepower, and when they start rolling, it feels like a snowball downhill.
G2 had to sweat a bit more. They dropped maps they shouldn’t have, including that rough 0-2 against FURIA, but steadied themselves in the end. SunPayus was the difference-maker with the AWP, MATYS chipped in frags at the right moments, and they pushed past GamerLegion in Round 4 to seal playoffs. HeavyGod has been quiet so far, but if he wakes up, G2 suddenly look a whole lot scarier.
Prediction: MongolZ can run wild if G2 let them set the tempo, but in a playoff best-of-three, I give G2 the edge. G2 2-1, though expect at least one map to go long.
Aurora vs Liquid

Aurora’s road was about as smooth as it gets. They didn’t drop a series in Swiss, rolling past Astralis, TYLOO, and then even FURIA to lock in their 3-0. XANTARES has been the obvious standout, putting up huge numbers, but woxic and Wicadia gave him steady support. They look organized, calm, and dangerous.
Team Liquid lived the opposite story. They stumbled to 0-2 and looked ready to crash out, but somehow found the nerve to claw back. Wins over HEROIC and TYLOO gave them a lifeline, and then they shocked FaZe in Round 5 to sneak into the bracket. Twistzz – playing his last tournament for Liquid – put up clutch rounds like a man on a mission, while ultimate stepped into the spotlight when it really mattered.
Prediction: Aurora have been steadier from start to finish, so they’re the safer pick. Liquid thrive when the pressure’s crushing, but they can’t live on comebacks forever. Aurora 2-1 feels about right.
FURIA vs Astralis

FURIA come in looking sharp. They finished 3-1 in Swiss, with wins over Liquid and G2, then a confident 2-0 against paiN to close it out. KSCERATO has been a rock in the server, molodoy’s hitting highlight shots, and FalleN’s leadership has given this team a calmer, more balanced edge compared to the chaos-heavy FURIA of old.
Astralis had to grind it out. Early losses to Aurora and paiN put them under pressure, but they steadied against Legacy and scraped through the final elimination match to qualify. Magisk has brought some stability back into the mix, and dev1ce is still pulling out clutch rounds, but this isn’t the unstoppable Astralis of years past.
Prediction: If FURIA keep the pace high, Astralis might struggle to adjust. If the Danes manage to slow things down, it could get interesting. Still leaning FURIA 2-1 on current form.
Falcons vs paiN

Falcons look every bit the frontrunner. They cruised to 3-0 in Swiss, smashing VP, outlasting Legacy in overtime, and then taking down FaZe. NiKo’s form has been electric, m0NESY is locking things down on the AWP, and kyxsan’s calling has kept the whole squad steady. So far, they’ve barely been tested.
paiN had to take the long road. Losses to FaZe and FURIA left them wobbling, but wins over HEROIC and Astralis gave them momentum, and their Round 5 win against Virtus.pro sealed the deal. nqz has been their spark, snow has chipped in at key moments, and biguzera has been the steady hand calling the shots. They’re not favorites, but they’ve already proved they can bite back.
Prediction: Falcons should have this locked down if they keep up their Swiss form. paiN can make it scrappy and maybe steal a map, but it’s hard to see Falcons slipping. Call it Falcons 2-0 — 2-1 if paiN manage to drag them into a dogfight.
