FISSURE Playground Round 4 Recap: MongolZ March, G2 Grind, FURIA Flex

FISSURE Playground 2 Round 4 was exactly what Swiss does best: hope for some, heartbreak for others, and a couple of maps that aged people five years. Three teams booked playoffs, three teams bowed out, and a few are hanging by a thread for Round 5.

FaZe vs The MongolZ – Decider Goes East

FaZe moment after dropping out of FISSURE Playground 2 in Round 4

The MongolZ took a wild one 2-1 and punched their playoff ticket. Mirage started with a burst from the MongolZ and never fully swung back, FaZe dragged Inferno to OT and survived, and then Ancient tilted straight into MongolZ territory with a clean T-side start that FaZe never solved. That’s 3-1 and through for the Mongolian side; FaZe drop to the gauntlet.

G2 vs GamerLegion – Experience Wins the Last Map

G2 had to sweat, but they got it done 2-1. Overpass went GamerLegion’s way, but G2 bounced back and completely destroyed GL on Ancient. Inferno was where the grown-ups closed – calmer mid-rounds, better trading, and fewer freebies. The result nudges G2 to 3-1 and into playoffs, while GL slide to 2-2 and face a tense Round 5.

FURIA vs paiN – No Drama, Just 2-0

Brazilian derby, minimal fuss. FURIA handled Inferno and Dust2 without letting paiN build real streaks, and they tucked away the series 2-0 to hit 3-1 and qualify. paiN had half-chances, but FURIA kept the tempo where they wanted it and shut the door before things got messy.

3DMAX vs Virtus.pro – VP Clutch Up, 3DMAX Crash Out

Three maps, plenty of nerves. Virtus.pro edged Train, 3DMAX answered on Inferno, and Dust2 was where VP’s structure finally held – cleaner mid-rounds, fewer panic buys, and the closer they’ve been chasing all week. VP move to 2-2 and live to fight Round 5; 3DMAX fall to 1-3 and are done.

TYLOO vs Liquid – Mirage Makes the Difference

Liquid’s survive-and-advance tour continues. TYLOO nicked Inferno, but Ancient and Mirage went Liquid’s way, with Mirage looking particularly composed once Liquid settled their spacing. It’s 2-1 Liquid, 2-2 overall, and they stick around, continuing their last dance with Twistzz. TYLOO drop to 1-3 and exit.

Astralis vs Legacy – Businesslike Sweep

Astralis kept it tidy: Mirage 13-7, Nuke 13-4, and not much room for doubt. The Danes bounce to 2-2 with a clean 2-0, while Legacy slide to 1-3 and out. Exactly what Astralis needed before a win-or-go-home Round 5.

Team Standings After FISSURE Playground 2 Round 4

Qualified after Round 4: The MongolZ, G2, FURIA (joining 3-0 Falcons and Aurora from Round 3).

Eliminated: TYLOO, 3DMAX, Legacy (with HEROIC and Lynn Vision already gone).

The rest – Liquid, Astralis, Virtus.pro, GamerLegion, FaZe, and paiN – are bracing for a nasty Round 5 to settle who gets the last playoff tickets.
