Week 2 of LEC 2026 Versus is underway with the standings already taking shape after a chaotic opening week. Day 1 bring a mix of matchups between early frontrunners, and teams under pressure to keep with the pace of the Bo1 format.
Los Ratones vs GIANTX

Los Ratones didn’t really live up to the hype of joining LEC, coming in 0-3 in Week 2. GIANTX sit at 2-1, and already looks like a team that wins by not giving free openings.
For LR the game plan is the same: draft comfort picks, and create chaos in the early game, making the game messy enough that the standard setups don’t really matter. But GIANTX looked more than ready for that kind of plays in Week 1, with the laning phase being stable, crisp rotations, and punishing overextensions.
I’m leaning heavily towards GIANTX winning this Bo1, simply because they’re being more consistent at playing the map correctly, all while Los Ratones still struggling to keep games under control for 15+ minutes.
Prediction: GIANTX.
Natus Vincere vs Karmine Corp Blue

KCB are sitting at 1-2 after Week 1, and they’ve already shown that they can play messy League and punish mistakes. But their losses are highlighted by same issues – if the game slows down for a couple of minutes, they start struggling into the closing down part.
NAVI, meanwhile, have already looked comfortable playing through high-pressure games, and forcing the pace. That matters a lot in a Bo1 series, where you need to match the opponent’s tempo. Otherwise, you’re just defending objectives on repeat.
NAVI should win because they have steadier mid-game control, while KCB still lacks the composure and consistency – if the game doesn’t break their way, they have a hard time finding a way back in.
Prediction: Natus Vincere.
Team Vitality vs Team Heretics

Heretics have shown that they’re fine in the laning phase of the game. Their issues start after, by not transitioning in the mid-game well, and their post-laning decisions tend to be reactive, rather than planned. When the game picks up the pace, their structure often loosens.
In contrast, that’s Vitality’s more comfortable phase. With Humanoid now anchoring their mid, they are happy playing slower, aiming for objectives at the right time, and calculated teamfights are where they like to decide things, instead of forcing skirmishes.
Unless Heretics get ahead early and keep the translate the pressure heavily in post-laning phase, Vitality’s discipline gives them the edge.
Prediction: Slight lean toward Vitality.
Shifters vs G2 Esports

For G2, this one is a dangerous matchup on paper, but they still have the edge. Shifters are 2-1, G2 are 1-2, and G2 can not afford another fumble if they want to climb back up on the table.
Shifters looked great when they get the early leads and force fights on their timing. But the problem is G2 are ones of the few that don’t really panic when the map gets hectic. Once rotations and objectives trades start to matter a lot, their decision-making usually takes over games like these.
If Shifters get ahead and don’t force too hard, they can make it competitive. If not, they open the door for counterplays, and G2’s experience and map control will easily take over.
Prediction: G2 Esports.
SK Gaming vs Karmine Corp

As SK showed in Week 1 Day 2 win against Fnatic, their path to winning is pretty narrow – make early game bloodfest, keep the scrappy plays going, snowball of skirmishes. But the downside of that playstyle is pretty obvious – if they don’t get ahead early, they can flatten out fast. And that’s very likely against a more composed team like KC.
Karmine Corp are the more reliable team to put your money on. They don’t need to gamble their early game – they’re happy with trading and scaling into the mid-game when the fights are more structured, where they can take over around objectives when the map is open.
KC are a lot more consistent in drafts and objective setups, while SK usually needs the game to go their way from the get-go in order to stay competitive. And we’ve got to go with the odds, as always.
Prediction: Karmine Corp.
Movistar KOI vs Fnatic

This one should be the most interesting game to watch, as both team are at the top-side of the table, and both looked good throughout Week 1.
The game should be competitive, but KOI has a small edge here. They’re one of the better early-game teams so far, mostly because of Elyoya’s ability to control tempo while forcing fights before the map fully settles, often turning one won skirmish into two objectives.
Fnatic are more measured, preferring stable lanes, little to no risks early game, and Razork focusing on controlling rather than accelerating the game.
If Fnatic manages to slow down the early game, it will be a competitive match. But as I said, I’m giving the edge to KOI, simply because they’ve looking great in creating their first real openings, which in a Bo1 setting makes them the (slightly) more reliable team to bet on.
Prediction: Movistar KOI.
