Round 2 of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026‘s Group Stage is set, and we have a couple of interesting game on the menu.
We’ve analyzed the matchups and here’s what we’ve got for our predictions.
Round 2 High Matches (1-0)
NAVI vs MOUZ

This might be a tough draw for NAVI, given that the recent history is basically all MOUZ. They only played twice in the last 12 months and MOUZ won both series, which says a lot about how well they read NAVI. But the real reason I lean toward MOUZ is they’re looking like the more consistent team. NAVI can flip a map (or even two for that matter) if they hit early and keep w0nderful and makazze active. But over three maps, MOUZ’s are the more trustworthy team.
Prediction: MOUZ 2-1.
Falcons vs FaZe

This matchup has been a Falcons thing for a while now. It’s 4-0 in favor of Falcons in the past 12 months, including a 2-0 sweep at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025. Although Falcons are not performing as well as they should right now, it’s still a team with m0NESY, kyousuke and NiKo in it. Even if FaZe steal a momentum map, Falcons have the resources to easily shut their mid-round chaos down. This smells like a clean veto into two controlled maps.
Prediction: Falcons 2-0.
FURIA vs FUT

FUT are genuinely annoying for FURIA right now. They played twice in the last 30 days, and FUT swept FURIA in the UB Quarterfinals at IEM Kraków 2026, with the BLAST Bounty Winter meeting a month back going the distance too. Still, FURIA are looking like they’re almost back to their ’25 Q4 form (4 wins in their last 5), and they’re the kind of team that usually adapts over a series. I expect FURIA to make a statement here, and humble FUT in two.
Prediction: FURIA 2-0.
Vitality vs MongolZ

They’ve met 9 times in the past year, Vitality won 7, and The MongolZ haven’t beaten them since Esports World Cup 2025 back in August, when Vitality were probably at their lowest, if you can even call it that. Vitality are coming in hot after winning Intel Extreme Masters Kraków, dropping only one map in the process (in the grand final). The only “but” is cobrazera settling in – if he drops another banger like Round 1, a map steal is possible. Still, over three maps, Vitality should slam the door.
Prediction: Vitality 2-0.
Round 2 Low Matches (0-1)
3DMAX vs Astralis

Both teams are 0-1 coming off Round 1, both swept by Falcons and NAVI, respectively. There’s only one head-to-head matchup in the books between them, and Astralis won that one 2-0 at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 back in October. Given their current form, this should be a close matchup, but Astralis are still slightly favored overall and trending better on paper going against 3DMAX, so I’ll give them the nod.
Prediction: Astralis 2-1.
G2 vs PARIVISION

First meeting between these two teams, and both sides are coming in cold – 0-3 in their last 3 matchups, no confidence freebies here. So we’ll take into consideration how they looked in Round 1. G2 actually kept it really competitive against Vitality, while PARIVISION got slapped around after taking the opener map against MOUZ. This might be more of a “composure” series, rather than a firepower one. Also interesting – despite G2 being the bigger name, PARIVISION is favored on paper here after the stunt they pulled at BLAST Bounty, which tells you this isn’t free at all. Still, in a grindy 2-1 spot, I’ll take G2’s experience.
Prediction: G2 2-1.
Aurora vs paiN

Aurora have been a nightmare matchup for paiN ever since their Eternal Fire days – they’ve won every meeting, and paiN have taken only one map total in the process. The most recent clash with the current cores was at IEM Kraków Stage 1, and Aurora handled it well. paiN have taken a dip in form recently, and I think Aurora will take advantage of that, and handle them cleanly, again.
Prediction: Aurora 2-0.
B8 vs HEROIC

These two teams have literally only played one official map, and HEROIC won it in the overtime, 16-12, back at CS Asia Championships 2025. The reason I’m leaning B8 anyway is what Round 1 showed – they looked far more composed against a scarier opponent – FURIA, while HEROIC never really looked comfortable in their loss against FaZe. B8 aren’t clean, but they’re sturdier now – I’ll take them in three.
Prediction: B8 2-1.
