PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 Group Stage Round 5: Matches Analysis & Predictions

Round 5 at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 is as simple as it gets – no more highs/lows, no second chances – win and you’re in, lose and you’re out. We’ve got 3 playoff tickets left for grabs, and the teams fighting for them are Aurora vs Astralis, FUT vs PARIVISION, and NAVI vs G2.

Aurora vs Astralis

Both teams arrive after surviving the elimination match in Round 4 – Aurora beat B8 2-0 (Overpass 13-10, Mirage 16-13), while Astralis looked much cleaner in their win against FaZe (Ancient 13-5, Mirage 13-9), sending them home.

The head-to-head between them is pretty extensive, with both sides throwing punches – there’s not a single sweep when these two meet. Throughout 2025 they’ve met 5 times, 3 of which were won by Aurora – but the real competitiveness is seen in maps won – Aurora has 8, Astralis 7, and that history alone makes this matchup that harder to call. Fun fact: every single series between these two teams has been a reverse-sweep.

Veto-wise, Aurora’s comfort map right now seems to be Overpass with 82% win rate in 11 maps, while Astralis look strongest on Ancient (80% win rate, 5 maps). The issue I see for Aurora is that their other frequent maps don’t scream safety – Mirage is 30% in 10 maps, and Nuke is 29% in 7 maps. So if Astralis steer this away from Overpass, Aurora can get uncomfortable real fast.

With Astralis’ Cluj path being steadier, and their map pool a bit cleaner, I lean them – but it should be a tight one.

Prediction: Astralis 2-1

FUT vs PARIVISION

These teams haven’t met eachother ever since before FUT’s roster rebranded from NAVI Junior/ex-NAVI Junior – also before the roster shuffles. Both teams are doing remarkably well since then, so with no recent head-to-head info to rely on, we’ll dive to recent performances and map comfort.

Both FUT and PARIVISION come here bruised, but their losses actually tell us how they break. FUT went to war with FURIA earlier in Cluj (including that overtime on Overpass), but couldn’t close it out – they’ve been competitive, but not consistent enough when the pressure hits them. PARIVISION are the bigger swing team: they beat FaZe 2-1, then lost a nail-biter to FURIA (Dust2 16-14, Inferno 14-16, Mirage 8-13).

The veto screams Mirage. FUT first-pick it 70% of their games, and have 86 win rate over 22 played maps. PARIVISION can either go for Dust2 (77% wins across 13 maps), or even Inferno (64% over 11) since FUT has 42% ban on it and haven’t even played it at all. Nuke is dead on arrival – 100% first-ban from PARIVISION, while FUTR are actually strong here (88% over 8). The swing is whether PARIVISION can dodge Mirage after they insta-ban Nuke, because FUT are also shaky on Anubis (0/5).

This one should come down to who grabs control first. If FUT starts picking up the pace since the start, they might cause some problems for Jame’s troops. But I trust “Jame time” to shine in a do-or-die series like this one.

Prediction: PARIVISION 2-1.

NAVI vs G2

There’s no head-to-head recent enough to take into consideration about this matchup, since the last time they played was at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 – series that NAVI won.

The veto picture tells an interesting story: both sides struggle on Dust2 (NAVI 40% over 5 maps, G2 44% over 9 maps), but at the same time, both teams deliver strong performance on Ancient (NAVI 100% win rate in 4 maps, G2 80% over 5 maps), both on a 4 map win streak there. Nuke and Overpass are auto-banned by these teams, so we’ll probably end up in “neutral” maps in an Aleksib vs hUnter- mind games. Individual performances will also mean a great deal in a clash between teams of this caliber.

In Cluj So far, NAVI have shown they can stabilize after starting shaky. G2 meanwhile, have looked sharper recently than earlier in this event, especially in mid-round decisions. But NAVI’s structural control and the tiny veto leverage they have give them the edge in a decider series.

Prediction: NAVI 2-1.
